I published Self Publishing Success back in 2019 when the voices of successful indies were few and far between.
I’d ridden that wave myself as a self-publisher of technical non-fiction and wanted to share that success by showing other indies how it was done.
Fast forward to 2026, and the scattered voices have become a global chorus. Successful indies are everywhere and there are very strong educators and advocates for independent publishing, none more visible than the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) of which I am proud to be a member.
Now that I am working on a career change into independently publishing fiction, I dusted off the old book content to begin following my own advice to see how well it worked for fiction in the current market.

I am slowly republishing the book in it’s entirety on this site, free of charge and with no strings attached, with the hope you too can get some value out of the content.
Because the original book was written based on timeless business and marketing principles and not the latest Bright and Shiny Thing, I feel it has aged well enough to put it out there now, with updates made to the chapters as I learn the lessons the current market has to teach me.
